Information has been posted on this opportunity on our internships page: Internships 07.16.08-07.20.08 National Convention Attendance and Resolution The New England JACL recently sponsored a passed resolution at the JACL National Convention in Salt Lake City pertaining to human rights of detainees. Copies of this resolution have been sent by the JACL to the President, Vice President, Attorney General, and majority and minority leaders of Congress. The convention was attended by co- president Ken Oye. For the full resolution please click here: Human Rights of Detainees. 07.16.08 Senate Bill S. 3213 to Help Preserve Tule Lake Concentration Camp The Tule Lake Preservation Committee is calling for citizens to contact their senators and representatives urging support for an important bill that would bring Tule Lake under the authority of the National Park System and enable the development of a visitor center at the site.
